Open enrollment for 2027–28 runs December 1, 2026 through January 31, 2027. Until then, join the interest list for enrollment updates.

What is the lottery? When is it held?

If applications exceed available seats in a grade, the school follows its published lottery and waiting-list procedures. Your campus will confirm the schedule and next steps.

How will we know if our child receives an offer?

Your selected campus will share your application status and any offer. Follow the school’s stated deadline to accept a seat and complete registration.

Can we apply for siblings?

Complete an official application for each child. Answer the sibling questions on the campus form so the school can apply its published enrollment priorities.

How old must my child be for kindergarten?

Children generally must turn five on or before August 31 of the school year. For 2027–28, that date is August 31, 2027. North Carolina kindergarten entry guidance (opens in a new tab).

What grade should we choose?

Choose the grade your child will enter in 2027–28. Leland, Whiteville and Southport serve K–8; Wilmington serves K–5. Contact your campus if you have a placement question.

What if my child has been homeschooled?

Contact your selected campus about grade placement before completing the official application. The campus can explain any information it needs.

Can we apply after January 31?

After open enrollment, contact your campus about availability. Applications follow the school’s post-enrollment process in the order received, with a waiting list when a grade is full.

Does joining the list reserve a seat?

No. Joining the list signs you up for updates. It is separate from a school application, an enrollment offer and a reserved seat.

Do we need to create a website account?

You do not need a separate CCSAM website account to join the list or select a campus. Official applications are completed through the school’s campus-specific application form.

What if our question is not listed?
