CCS-America Celebrates the Season Across our four CCS-America campuses, students and staff have found many ways to celebrate and get into the Christmas spirit. CCS-Wilmington held a Holiday Movie Night, where families came in PJs to watch The Polar Express, spend time together, and enjoy some holiday refreshments. CCS-Southport and CCS-Whiteville have taken part in Christmas Parades in their areas, showing off their CCS-America pride and spreading Christmas cheer. CCS-Southport also decorated a school-themed tree in Southport’s Winterfest-ival of Trees. CCS-Leland continued its yearly ‘Art of Christmas’ display. The display features seven paintings of the birth of Jesus, each created by a different artist in a different time. All students, parents, and community members are welcome to stop by and enjoy the display. There is still much more holiday fun to come! Tomorrow, each campus will host their Holiday Performances and Holiday Parties. On Dec.18, CCS-Leland will have its Holiday Light Show, followed by CCS-Southport and CCS-Whiteville on Dec. 19. Basketball is Back! The CCS-America middle school basketball season is officially underway, and it’s looking to be another exciting year. We’ve already had some very close and hard-fought games, highlighting the talent and teamwork across our teams. Congratulations to all our schools for securing wins early in the season! Adding to the excitement, each school’s cheerleaders (made up of students enrolled in the cheerleading elective) help cheer on their teams and pump up the crowd, making each game even more electric. Join us tomorrow, December 18th, for our last basketball game of 2025! CCS-Leland and CCS-Southport will play at the Leland campus, with the girls’ game tipping off at 4:00PM.
