Classical Charter Schools of America’s Plan for a Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Services dated 03/22/2023:
Classical Charter Schools of America has developed guidance for prevention strategies that school administrators can use to help protect students, teachers, and staff, and slow the spread of COVID-19. NC Safe Schools Toolkit is guidance provided by the State’s Department of Health and Human Services, which does not directly oversee district or charter schools. Although we consider and weigh this guidance in our decision-making, it is not a formal, legal mandate. Instead, we make decisions based on current local conditions. Unless there is a shift in current conditions or new laws, wearing a mask will be an individual personal option for students and staff at our school.
We will continue to implement a layered prevention strategy to reduce SARS-CoV-2 transmission in order to return to face-to-face instruction as of July 2020 and continue to maintain doing so in a safe environment. This includes but is not limited to staying in contact with local health departments to prevent community spreads. We will continue daily cleaning and sanitizing of classrooms and workspaces. We will also request testing of individuals with SARS-CoV-2 infection to limit transmission and outbreaks and inform the staff and community about vaccination options and events. An electronic form has also been provided to parents to easily communicate to school administration when their child has been diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2.
We will continue to consider and weigh all guidelines to keep our staff, students, and family’s safe as we return to the 2022-2023 school year. Parents are welcome to share comments at info@rogerbacon.net
